In The Mix Project celebrated their 10th birthday at the Hub Centre on the 17th of December 2021 with ex young people, members of the public and team members. Originally setup as a Community Interest Company back in December 2011, In The Mix Project provided local youth services in Wiveliscombe following local authority budget restructures. Throughout its initial ten-year period, In The Mix has provided various services and youth programmes including, outdoor activities, music activities, leadership programmes, Centre based provision, mobile youth work to villages and communities and targeted programmes around topics such as; road safety, food hygiene, money matters and computing & coding.
The organisation registered as a charity in 2015 and broadened its horizons providing services to a wider geographical area as well as school-based programmes and targeted intervention provision. We have continued to work tirelessly throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, adapting for virtual and online services and offering support to those most affected.
Holly Sutton, director and trustee of In The Mix Project said ‘’Having only recently just joined, it’s great to join in the celebrations of ten years of successful programmes and positive outcomes for young people. I’m really keen to see what the next few years hold for our charity’’.
Nick Harvey, Youth and Community Worker, said ‘’it’s great to see all the hard work undertaken on show and the benefits it has provided to young people old and new. Plus, we’ve got some great stuff planned for the new year!”
